Barbati BeachBarbati is ideal for people who love the tranquillity and the laid-back atmosphere of a beach location. The Barbati beach is one mile long pebbly and shingle beach, awarded the Blue Flag by, offering safe bathing due to its calm waters and is a perfect spot for snorkelling. Sun beds and umbrellas are available (extra charged locally) as well as changing rooms, toilets and showers.

In Barbati guest can find also a wide varity of bars, tavernas, tourist shops and mini markets, public telephone and post. There are parking areas available around the village.

Several watersport activities as windsurfing, kayaking, speedboat-powered water sled or guided boat tours to less visited bays, very recommedable is the unspoiled Agni Bay. In direction north there are several small bays and beaches where local fishermen cast their lines into the Ionian Sea. The Ionian sea at Barbati is also perfect for snorkeling and scuba diving, lessons and diving sessions can arranged at the dive school as for instance at the Waterhoppers in Ipsos.

Barbati is great to explore landmarks and traditional villages, well worth a visit are the remains of St. Nikolas church or just a relaxed 20-minute walk to Ipsos. Along the beachfront there are severalĀ  taverns and bars, inviting to sit at one of the outdoor terraces and eat fresh fish or enjoy a cocktail.
